Isn't that a stunner! I agree. I picture the watercolor paint seeping through the fibers of the paper and marvel at the perfect scene to arrive from such a process. It is so restful.
I couldn't find a way to purchase that print, but this one strikes a similar note. Now I wish I had a spare $2K lying around to decorate my whole house with this series.
My intention behind the piece was to highlight the similarities between all celebrations. So often we feel like we can't celebrate a tradition that's not ours in case we do it injustice or don't "Celebrate it the perfect way". When all it really matters is that you give it a shot. I celebrated Diwali within my office team this year and we started simple with a shared lunch had on a pretty table decorated with Diyas and that was enough :)
I think this spirit comes through beautifully in your post. I agree with you: people don’t want to misappropriate someone else’s tradition, but an ambassador like you can coax people along. :-)
This edition of The Enchanted Forest is so intricately woven with beauty that I could rest here all day. I echo Joshua about the canoeing painting. And I am wowed by Michelle Banks' Artologica. So delighted to discover this stack (!) here in the forest. Thank you for including Beyond the Comfort Zone. 🙏😘
Thank you for encouraging your readers to give Diwali a try! I appreciate the share :) And these are some amazing reads that I will now spend all Sunday reading.
Thank you, Vanda, for reading far enough to get the vibe! That is an honor of great proportions from one who knows just-shy-of everything. I know you speak truth because some things can only be known with humor, and you've got that covered. :-)
I'm mesmerized by that canoeing painting. Wow.

Gorgeous!
Me too.
Thanks so much for the mention : )
My pleasure! Happy Month #2 on Substack. :-)
Thank you Tara! So many goodies here, I especially love Perzen's article about Diwali. I enjoy learning more about that lovely celebration.
Isn't that wonderful? I love her idea of teaching other people how to celebrate it. She also writes scrumptiously about food. :-)

What a sumptuous banquet! Thanks for curating it.
My pleasure! Thank you for your Restack of Uncivil Savant, which led me to more treasure. :-)

My pleasure, Perzen. Your post is a feast of good energy. Thank you for the Restack for all this month’s authors!
Wow, Tara, I love your Substack! The whole 'vibe' of it. It contains stuff I don't know of. And I thought I knew everything!
