Tara, I can't believe the generosity of this gorgeous gift you've given us all! I could spend months doing nothing but explore this incredible compendium! I hope you've given yourself a bit of a rest in the last few days to recover from the enormous effort you must have put in to create this. Thank you, it's amazing!
Thank you so much, Tara - for the brilliant idea, the fabulous five-words reading party, and now this poetic party favour you press into our happy hands. What a generous party host, thank you!
Haha! I'm picturing straws that poke above the cloud layer, where it's nice and clear. Upside: The cure for smelly feet is to stick them out the tent flap, bare?
We stayed in a town hotel the other night. I took my boots off, got a whiff, and immediately stuffed them into sealable plastic laundry bag. Apparently, hiker boot stench is only a little less potent than skunk off gassing.
This is beyond extraordinary in the most beautifully mutually enhancing way.
Thank you, Renée. It felt like the right way to celebrate a year of marvelous new relationships. ❤️
Astonishing creativity that Substack is unleashing, collaborative creativity as much as anything. This - I couldn't have conceived of it. Well done!
Thank you, Jay. I loved watching the 5-word replies roll in. You see how I got behind in my reading there for awhile. 😅
Indeed!

Thank you, Michelle. Next week's post happens to be a guest post. :-)
Enjoy the well-deserved rest 💕
Thank you. :-)
This was a great read and I loved participating!
Thank you, Catherine. Glad you enjoyed it!

My pleasure, Jackie. And thank you for reading multiple posts with such care.
Out here in the trackless wilderness, you brought a smile and a morsel of poetry during a night of unending rain.
Good to hear from you!
Give my best to Bear.
Hikers get their own stanza,
Five words by five lines.
Listen rain: lighten up already.
We breathe through straws and use air bubble Morse code.

The upside is that mosquitoes stay at bay.
Wonderful, Tara! Brava! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Jeffrey. 🙏 Your "Slaughterhouse guy" made a gem of a post, and Jenna managed to channel some of your self-deprecating humor into her own.
A standing ovation Tara! Thank you.
Ah, goodness. Blushes.
Very cool idea! Lot's of fun reading this!
Thank you, Pamela, for reading and sharing! There's plenty here for a nice, blustery March day. 💨
Indeed there is! I am still trying to decipher the method and the divine energy that made this happen!
Light bulb: I should link the original post! (Rocket science moment?) It's here: https://open.substack.com/pub/tarapenry/p/one-year-five-word-party?r=1mk0zn&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
So very impressive! I'm awed!
Kind of you to say! Thank you. 🙏
A very cool library and idea, Tara - Saved! Thank you.
Saving is a great idea. The best news would be more connections over time. I think there are a lot of sympatico writers in this list. :-)
Wholeheartedly agree!!
Amazing compilation!
Thank you, Chris, for participating and sharing.
I didn't participate, but I loved reading this collation of reading responses. What fun, what talent!
Much fun, yes! Thank you for bringing a little warmth from the Fiertzeside. A Feb-March party does need a bit of your blaze.
I missed your Stack anniversary.
Where did I go wrong?
But pitching in for others
Gave readers a lasting song.
Oh my goodness! Meter! rhyme!
Now you've raised the stakes.
You sweeten the poor miscellany
As frosting sweetens cakes.
I forgot I was there.
Thanks for the needed reminder.
Cold and windy out there
But still bluer than Florida.
It's easy to lose track
Of all the Substack talent.
So here's a handy organizer
With a few dozen folks,
To peruse, indoors and warm.
(P.S. I appreciate our exchanges!)
Wow, this is truly amazing. The amount of time that you devoted to creating this list shows true leadership and community. Thank you so much.❤️
Thank you, Crystal. The old proofreader in me was very happy. Your artist's eye knows all about details, too. :-)
This is amazing and cool! I am so glad to have participated.
Very glad to have met you in this creative, collegial way, Teri! I hope a few more people find their way to your site and your story.
