Yes, you can. There are two options. If you post as an original Note, I can copy a link to it in the collated memorial page, so people can click through to your Note.
Or: You can make a post, but instead of emailing subscribers, when you click Continue to publish the post and choose "Everyone" as the audience, scroll down to the Delivery section and *unclick* "Send email to subscribers." This changes the blue action button at the bottom right corner from "Send email" to "Publish." The post goes on your webpage, but not to inboxes. This would allow you to add your Subscribe button and any other features you can access in a post but not a Note. Thanks for the question. I'll add this with a picture to the FAQ's.

I find Alice Munro's southwestern Ontario voice like hearing someone intimately familiar. Miriam Toews has a similar style to her voice. Thanks for the head's up for this enterprise. .
